I am still looking for a picture I took on my very first day as a full-time coach. It is a testament to our power to create our dreams in our reality because the picture was an exact manifestation of the vision I had created 4 years earlier. I had actually written that in my dream job "I would have this fabulous view of trees and nature as I worked from home, talking to people - "together people with good values" on the phone from anywhere in the country, ...helping give people back to themselves." The picture I have shows me all set up for a day at the office, on my patio, surrounded by trees, with a cup of tea and fresh flowers on the table. I had arrived!
Today I live that dream. And I can tell you, when I wrote the description of my dream job it was really quite outrageous! I mean, come on! Who was going to pay me to talk to people about life!? I share this with you because I believe that we each have something unique to contribute to the world and when we are contributing in the way we were "built" to contribute, joy, peace and great success are a natural result.

In 1999 I read this book called "I could do anything if only I knew what it was" (what a great title)! One of the exercises asked me to create a wild description of my dream occupation. I wrote down exactly how I wanted my day to flow, the hours I would work, what I would see out my window and who I would have around me. Within months I found out that this fabulous career I had dreamed up had a name, it was called Life Coaching! I also found out there was a professional association ( the International Coaching Federation) and that their were actually coach training schools! Naturally I said "sign me up"!
First I got trained, then I started practicing on anyone who would talk to me, then I created an executive coaching service with the multinational Staffing Company I was working for, and then it was a fine afternoon in March of 2004 that I knew it was time to leave my corporate job and coach full time.
With two months notice I launched into entrepreneurship and in my first full year had earnings that put me in the top 10% of my industry. This illustrates part of my life philosophy; when you are willing to follow your passion and do the work you love, success is waiting there for you along with the joy of waking up each day saying "I LOVE my job!"
Creating this "dream work" in my reality was just one of many occasions where I was able to use what I have learned to powerfully create my life, but it has been one of the most significant and life changing of them all. I want to do anything I can to inspire people to go after their own dreams because I believe that whatever you can dream, it is there waiting for you to claim it! Isn't life cool!
