Tell us a little bit about yourself...

I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and have known my entire life that I was going to be an actress. When I was old enough to mimick the television commercials, I would dress my brother up and do commercials for my parents, and I made a name for myself in school writing little skits and puppet shows that I put on for the class. Most of my teachers appreciated my creativity in their class but things really got interesting in fifth grade when I met one of my soul mates. She was a teacher with a penchant for the theater and she produced four plays a year. I was in heaven! I remember in sixth grade, I wrote a play for the school and found out that they were still doing it after I was long gone. Being true to my passion, I went on to go to a performing arts high school and study theater in college.

• Food for thought: Was there something you excelled in or had passion for as a child? Do you have it in your life today? If not, where did that dream go?

I'd like to say that I went to a prestigious college and studied acting, met a fantastic director who was also on his way up and we all went to Hollywood! But that isn't how my life unfolded. I actually became quite disenchanted in college. I wanted to study theater and only theater but the pressures of life and society led me into a more practical major.

Accounting! What a difference between the two mindsets. But the funny thing is that as an actress, you have to be very analytical in order to get into the minds of your characters. It really seemed like a perfect relationship except for my lack of excitement about accounting as a career.

I got married, had a daughter and gave up the dream. For seven years, I did nothing with my acting. It lay dormant in me just waiting for the perfect opportunity to rise back up. (Funny... almost like the Phoenix.) One year after I had divorced, my parents took me to a dinner theater for my birthday. That was it! It was all over for me then. I was given the part of the Russian spy and I was once again hooked into my soul's purpose.

• Food for thought: Do you have a soul's purpose that has been lying dormant? What would be possible if you rekindled it?

I have been since taking bigger and bigger steps into the light. My video for the Yahoo talent show is my latest and biggest step. I have created something and instead of just showing it to my parents, like I did when I was a kid, I have given it to the entire world to see, judge and love or not. The goal of this is to declare to the entire world (and to myself) that I am an actress. Not that I want to be or hope to be but that I am.

• Food for thought: Do you have something to declare? Deep down inside are you a writer? A singer? A business owner? The next president? Are you ready to speak it aloud? Go ahead, try it.

How do you Livloud every day?

Every day I get up and do the normal things that everyone does but I also check in with my soul and align myself to the abundance that is already on its way to me. I give the love to the world that I believe is returning to me.

What do you love about your life?

I love the peace that surrounds my growth. I know that although there are times that I may stumble, I never feel like I've lost my way. I love both my analytical and creative sides and I love the support that comes back to me as I give it out to my family and friends.

What do you know for sure?

I know for sure that we have chosen our lives for our personal growth. Our souls are here on this earth to learn and experience things through us.

What do you want others to know?

That no matter how hard you feel things are at a given time, those things will pass and they will be made easier if you can step outside of the actual experience and figure out what it is that you can learn from it.
